Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) student Michal Hawiar has received a gold medal in the Men’s Under 18 Volleyball Championships.
Michal who is a first year BTEC Public Services student and a member of the NULC Academy of Sport won the medal whilst competing at the National Volleyball Championships with his team the Newcastle Staffs Volleyball Club.
The Newcastle Staffs Volleyball Club fought off strong competition from teams from all over the country and won the National Cup Finals 3 -1 against Boswells School of London.
